Blue Knob State Park; Imler, Pennsylvania
124 Park Road
Imler, PA 16655-9207
Situated on a spur of the Allegheny Front and overlooking the scenic Ridge and Valley Province to the east, Blue Knob has spectacular views. Blue Knob State Park is named for its dome-shaped mountain. At 3,146 feet above sea level, Blue Knob is the second highest mountain in Pennsylvania. Although probably best known for its skiing opportunities, it is also a lovely place to visit during the summer, as we can attest to. It is not only a lovely place to spend the afternoon, it is also a lovely place to camp, especially if you like seclusion and being in nature.
The 50 tent and trailer sites are in open fields and wooded areas. Two sites are walk-in only. Most sites have electric service. Water, a sanitary dump station, modern restrooms, and playground equipment are available.
